From April 16-18, 2026, the Chatham High School Theatre Department will present their spring production of Chicago: Teen Edition. This youth-adapted version of the classic Broadway musical is specially designed for teenage performers while keeping the show’s iconic jazzy style and satirical storyline. Set in the Roaring Twenties, it follows Roxie Hart, a young woman who dreams of fame as a vaudeville star but ends up in jail after murdering her lover. There, she meets Velma Kelly, another performer and fellow inmate, who becomes both her rival and inspiration. With the help of slick lawyer Billy Flynn, both women manipulate the press and the public to gain celebrity status.
Performances will be held Wednesday, April 15th at 4:30 (for Senior Citizens only), Thursday, April 16, Friday, April 17th, and Saturday, April 18th at 7:00 PM.
Tickets for the performances must be purchased in advance online at https://chathamsd.booktix.com starting Monday, March 23rd. Ticket prices: $12.00 for students, $15.00 for adults, and FREE for senior citizens.
