MHA is pleased to announce an upcoming NJ4S Parent Academy virtual presentation focused on the growing role social media and digital environments play in youth mental health and suicide risk.

As schools and families continue to navigate increased screen time, online social pressure, and rapid technological changes, including AI, this session offers timely, research-informed insight into how these factors can influence students’ emotional well-being, help-seeking behavior, and vulnerability to harm. Participants will leave with practical tools to recognize warning signs, talk with youth about their online lives, and promote healthier digital boundaries.

The webinar will take place on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 6:30–8:00 PM. It will be presented by Jonathan Singer, PhD, LCSW, an internationally recognized expert in youth suicide prevention and social work technology.
