Halloween came early for some lucky trick-or-treaters! On Sunday, October 26, the CHS Red Cross Club hosted its first-ever Trunk or Treat event. Thanks to the creativity and teamwork of many students, the event was a spooktacular success for our community.

Chatham Middle School students collected over 85 costumes and accessories for Jersey Cares! 🎃 Thanks to the CMS Student Council, Mrs. Dangler, and Coach Guerriero for leading a drive that brought the school community together to spread Halloween cheer.

Please help our talented CHS student artists win the Crosley Custom Cruiser contest! We are one of 250 schools chosen to customize a portable record player in keeping with the theme "Band Together." Our National Art Honor Society members sought to demonstrate that music has the power to unite generations by passing down favorite artists, stories, and memories of live music. At first glance, it's a cardboard box of memorabilia collected over decades, but upon closer examination, it is a record player emulating a live show!

What a historic weekend for CHS Athletics!
Our football team captured the division title, and our girls soccer team made history with their fifth consecutive County Championship — a first ever.
Even more incredible, both our boys and girls soccer teams won the Morris County Championships on the same night, marking the first time that teams from the same school achieved this feat. Congratulations to all of our athletes and coaches!

Earlier this month, Mrs. Dangler’s 6th Grade Astronomers turned their classroom into a cosmic gallery! Students presented models and data comparing the inner and outer planets. Mr. Yamamoto and Ms. Zambolla stopped by to see their out-of-this-world work! Photo credit: Mrs. Dangler

In recognition of School Violence Awareness Week, observed statewide beginning the third Monday in October, SBS celebrated Peace Day on Wednesday, October 15. The day focused on promoting positive self-management and peaceful conflict resolution. Students joined in the spirit of the celebration by wearing tie-dye or their SBS shirts.

While students enjoyed the day off, SDOC grades 6–12 teachers became students themselves—diving into AI during the Building AI Literacy Among Students session, funded by the Chatham Education Foundation.
