Josh Funk visited for Author's Day last week. Thanks to the PTO! Josh taught students the art of storytelling by demonstrating how to take ideas and turn them into dynamic characters and plot themes. Students also became illustrators by drawing and naming their own characters.
Mark your calendars for the District Art Show on May 22 & 23 from 6:30-8:30 PM! This event showcases over 800 student pieces in all grades and across mediums. There will be interactive art activities both nights. The Chatham Orchestra will also perform. Free and open to the public. #SDOCarts
SBS 3rd graders filled the gym this morning with beautiful music for the Spring Concert! It has been a joy to watch the musical talent of these students grow since they started at SBS. We are excited to watch them expand their musical horizons at LAF next year!
Last week SBS launched the Cougars Care Cooler for students to donate extra items from their lunches to support the Chatham Community Food Distribution. Students will have the opportunity to donate food each week. #SDOCgivesback #CCFD #chathamunitedmethodistchurch
