From April 16-18, 2026, the Chatham High School Theatre Department will present their spring production of Chicago: Teen Edition. This youth-adapted version of the classic Broadway musical is specially designed for teenage performers while keeping the show’s iconic jazzy style and satirical storyline. Set in the Roaring Twenties, it follows Roxie Hart, a young woman who dreams of fame as a vaudeville star but ends up in jail after murdering her lover. There, she meets Velma Kelly, another performer and fellow inmate, who becomes both her rival and inspiration. With the help of slick lawyer Billy Flynn, both women manipulate the press and the public to gain celebrity status.

Performances will be held Wednesday, April 15th at 4:30 (for Senior Citizens only), Thursday, April 16, Friday, April 17th, and Saturday, April 18th at 7:00 PM.

Tickets for the performances must be purchased in advance online at chathamsd.booktix.com starting Monday, March 23rd. Ticket prices: $12.00 for students, $15.00 for adults, and FREE for senior citizens.

Senior Citizens: a reserved ticket is not needed for the Wednesday Dress Rehearsal. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances require a reserved seat. Select FREESC in the dropdown menu at checkout if you are reserving a seat.

Following the Wednesday dress rehearsal performance is a complimentary dinner for senior citizens provided by the Chatham Education Association. An RSVP for the dinner is required and reservations can be placed by emailing seniorspringmusical@gmail.com.

The CMS Student Council, in partnership with the PTO, brought the school together for a cozy and meaningful Hot Chocolate Day during all lunch periods! After weeks of planning, it was exciting to see this student-led event come to life as classmates enjoyed a warm cup of cocoa.

Every cup supports a greater purpose! Proceeds will benefit a charity selected by students through a school-wide vote.

Shoutout to our amazing organizers and leaders who made it all happen! 👏
