NJ State Aid

The FAFSA form will instruct you to fill out appropriate information for NJ based aid and funding.
The Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA) is the organization that serves NJ students through this process.

TIPS FOR NJ STATE AID :

  • Remember to always list a New Jersey school first on your FAFSA, even if you think you may not end up enrolling, it is important to have NJ listed first for consideration just in case.

  • To submit additional information required to be considered for New Jersey State grants and scholarships, New Jersey residents should click the link on the FAFSA Web confirmation page entitled "Optional Feature - start your state application." Once completed, you will be notified to login to NJ Grants to view the status of your State grant application by the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA).

  • You will receive a Student Eligibility Notice (SEN) from the State of New Jersey. This form will provide information regarding your eligibility for all state based aid, including the Tuition Aid Grant (TAG).
