Governed by a nine member elected Board of Education, the School District of the Chathams pursues its primary mission of providing outstanding educational programs for students at all grade levels through the efforts of an extremely well-qualified professional and support staff. Administrators, teachers, counselors, and others, who have direct contact with students on a daily basis, are dedicated to their assigned tasks and pursue with enthusiasm the continuation of the very best instruction that public schools can offer.
The Office of Human Resources acts as a link between administration and employees. Our primary purpose is to facilitate the hiring process, inform employees about state and district policies that affect them, and introduce new staff members to district procedures, among other things. We take great pride in both our current professional and support staff and exercise tremendous care in attracting new, talented and enthusiastic individuals with similar qualities.
The School District of the Chathams has a long standing record of nondiscrimination in our employment practices. We strictly follow personnel procedures that ensure equal opportunity for all people without regard to race, color, religion, creed, national origin, ancestry, disability, sex or age.
We carefully select our employees through written application, personal interview and reference checks. This process helps us to find and employ people who are concerned with their own personal success and the success of the School District of the Chathams; people who want to do a job well and who can carry on their work with skill and ability; and people who are comfortable with our district and can work well with our team.
