Governed by a nine member elected Board of Education, the School District of the Chathams pursues its primary mission of providing outstanding educational programs for students at all grade levels through the efforts of an extremely well-qualified professional and support staff. Administrators, teachers, counselors, and others, who have direct contact with students on a daily basis, are dedicated to their assigned tasks and pursue with enthusiasm the continuation of the very best instruction that public schools can offer.
The Office of Human Resources acts as a link between administration and employees. Our primary purpose is to facilitate the hiring process, inform employees about state and district policies that affect them, and introduce new staff members to district procedures, among other things. We take great pride in both our current professional and support staff and exercise tremendous care in attracting new, talented and enthusiastic individuals with similar qualities.

Our current school organization consists of three elementary schools (K-3); one elementary school (4-5); one middle school (6-8); and one high school (9-12), and reports a total enrollment of 4121. Other departments include Special Services, Technology, and Maintenance.
