  • Creating a Butterfly Garden

The Basaralian  Family completed dad's Father's Day service project in August.
Near the second grade entrance, they installed a butterfly garden - mostly seeds
but also milkweed plants, given the plight of the miraculous monarch species,

which is being discussed more and more in classrooms.

The little white signs say, "Butterfly Garden 2016."

    Caring Cubs in Action

This summer a few WAS kids (Moran Family

created an art booth and sold their artwork.

The kids raised $100 and donated it

to the Nepal relief effort. This was a sweet

reminder of what they learned this past year

through the Cougar Cubs for Kindness Program.
