Washington Avenue School  houses three of the district's programs for three and four year olds who are in need of early intervention and who receive individualized programs based their learning needs.

The three programs are:

PREK - an extended day program (9:00 - 2:30) for students needing a specialized program with related services such as Speech, OT and PT.

PREP - AM Program (8:40 - 11:00 am) Students are working on a preschool curriculum with adaptations designed by a special education teacher that reflects each students individual educational program.

CHiP - Chatham inclusion Program - PM Program (12:15 - 3:05pm) General Education Preschool Program based on the Creative Curriculum.  There are two criteria for this program.  Students, who are toilet trained, are chosen from a lottery in February.  The Child Study Team also recommends special education students who would benefit from being included in this program.
